USB camera input lost after Mac restart

I have two cameras set up. A Logitec Brio is one scene, labeled Close Up. A GoPro Hero 5 connected via Magewell USB Capture HDMI Gen 2 is set up as another scene, labeled Long Shot. They are working great and I can switch between them with StreamDeck. Excellent! BUT when I restart my computer the GoPro shows a black screen. The camera is still listed as a source but it doesn't show anything. I read everything about black screen, but I'm not on a laptop so I think I may have a different problem. If I delete it and re-add it, it works again until I restart my computer. I don't have this problem with the Brio. Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks.

An update in case anyone is around to help... If the GoPro is powered on during computer restart it continues to work. When the GoPro is powered off during restart it is not found by OBS when it is turned on, and it continues to not work regardless of whether I turn the camera on before or after starting OBS. Note: The camera is found by the USB capture device and by Zoom so that's working. It is just dropped by OBS.

Okay, maybe I've solved the problem. I'm sharing it here in case anyone else has it.

I deleted the camera source that I was losing with restart. I closed OBS and restarted my computer. Then I added the camera source again. So far it has stuck through several trial restarts. <Hopeful>

Well, that didn't work. It's still lost after restarting. What is the best way to get support for this issue? I don't see many solutions being offered in this forum. Is there are a better place?
