Question / Help USB 3.0 Audio Interfaces

Does anyone know how OBS Studio will communicate with USB 3.0 audio interfaces like the Zoom UAC-8 or the Tascam US-20x20? Will it take each of their 18-20 inputs separately or will it only take them all mixed down to one stereo pair?
 
In the past multichannel devices have shown up only as a single stereo pair with no way to select which pair is chosen.

Some multichannel audio features have been added in the latest version but I am not sure how that would affect this.
