Question / Help "Upgraded" to Windows 10 - OBS won't start

Just updated to Windows 10 because Windows wouldn't stop bugging me, and now OBS doesn't work.

Here's what it looks like when I try to launch OBS:

JETQWJh.png

I try to alt tab to it, windows tab to it - nothing. It's still using a tiny bit of CPU/Memory according to the task manager (31,724K memory, 0-1% CPU) but I can't make it appear any way. Was working fine (streaming/recording) prior to Windows 10 upgrade.

Checked log folder, and there's no logs available (no crashdumps either).

I tried uninstalling completely (including deleting the entirety of program files\obs-studio) and reinstalling with a fresh download, but it didn't make a difference.

Tried to search on the forums (site:obsproject.com Windows 10) but couldn't find anything relevant. Any tips/advice/help would be appreciated!

Well, I use Windows 10 Pro and it still works for me. But I should start it as admin, otherwise the gamecapture won't work. Did you try to start it with admin rights?

Also when uninstalling did you select to delete all the data? (you will of course loose all settings and scenes if you do that).
Maybe that will help.

Yup, tried going directly to /bin/64bit and running obs64.exe with admin... no change.

Yup, deleted all user settings when uninstalling.

Got it working for one day (deleted all program data/uninstalling and reinstalled) but tried to start it again today and it's back to not working.

EDIT:

So I got it to work again - it only works when I mirror displays 1 & 2 (main monitor + TV screen). When I have the TV off or extend to triple displays (monitor 1 + monitor 3 + TV 2) OBS doesn't work. No idea why.

EDIT 2:

Now it crashes when I try to stream and record at the same time.

Things I've tried since my last post:

Updating graphics drivers (GTX 750 Ti)
Reseating RAM (2x 8 GB)
Reinstalling OBS

But same crash every time when I attempt to both record & stream with OBS... guess for now I'll just record and upload, but any help would be appreciated!

Further update:

OBS only works when Monitor 3 (secondary monitor) is "main monitor" according to Windows and primary monitor is mirrored to our TV. If I set primary/TV as "main monitor", get the same problem as my original post.

Fixed crashing when streaming/recording at same time by recording at stream settings (as opposed to the indistinguishable setting). Hopefully some dev is reading this otherwise typing all this stuff out is pointless eh.
