upgrade to i5-2500 worth it?

so i was planning to upgrade my cpu from i3-2100 to i5-2500 but i was kinda worried that i5-2500 will have same result like my old i3-2100 (like lag and not smooth streaming), so i want to ask you guys, is it worth it to upgrade to i5-2500? my current pc specification is i3-2100,8gb ram ddr3, and nvidia gt440 512mb ram (i am planning to do valorant streaming on 720p 30fps)

The requirements for Valorant seem to be 1GB of VRAM. Probably better to update your graphics card. That CPU is listed as $220 on Amazon. If that's the price you're going to pay, I would say invest that in a newer GPU.
