Question / Help Updating OBS Studio from 14.2 to 15.2 Issues

Hello,

I just attempted updating from 14.2 to 15,2 and got some very weird results. I didn't want to have to update, but OBS Studio kept crashing my Chrome on Windows 10. While updating there were many files that were duplicates that I had to click "Ignore" on in order for it to go through. After the 15.2 .exe went through, my OBS Studio was still 14.2 and still has all the same issues plus additional ones. Now my webcam doesn't work anywhere (even when OBS studio isn't active) and OBS keeps opening with an error that reads with a heading of "obs64.exe - Entry Point Not Found" and a body of "The procedure entry point os_get_path_extension could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\[shows location]."

I was thinking about just completely uninstalling OBS Studio at this point and reinstall the latest version. The only problem with that is I would need to save all of my current settings and stream setup. If any of you know how to do that I'm pretty sure that would be the easiest fix.

Reboot your computer and re-run the installer for 0.15.2
Do NOT attempt to run OBS before running the installer.

Thanks Harold, that worked. Webcam that was disabled somehow from all of this was still not working after that, but updating its drivers seemed to have fixed it.
