Question / Help Update OBS Studio

hi :D

today i got the notification that a new update for obs is available. Do i have to download tthe complete new obs and install it over the old? Or is there any secific update process? Are my old settings kept when installing it over the old? And there a three differen exes like brower exe etc..
which is the correct one? Hope you can help me i am a little bit confused :D

Just install over the top of the old version, profiles and scene collections are retained when you install the new version. If you want to backup just in case then make a copy of %appdata%\obs-studio folder
