Update for Video Source plugin

Is there an updated version of the Video Source plugin (https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/video-source-plugin-obs-classic-only.20/)?? If not, is this compatible with the current version of OBS Studio?

I'm trying to capture video from VLC. Thanks.

Use the Media Source in OBS Studio. It's built in. Or, if you have VLC installed in addition to OBS Studio, you have the VLC media source.
