Up-scaling component to HDMI and then plugging into the Elgato HD60S seems to be causing an issue in OBS...

Hello,
So recently, I've decided to stream from my Analogue NT consoles and have devised a way to reach an video output to my CRT. I want this because as I would like to play with my zapper, Superscope etc all while streaming.
-Basically, I have the Analgue console hooked up the Analgue DAC which is then split from component in a component splitter. The splitter heads towards the CRT(which works great) and an upscaler. The Upscaler is a component upscaler to HDMI that hooks into the Elgato and the Elgato is hooked plugged into the laptop.
-What i'm capturing in OBS is only HALF the left side of the capture. Trust me I must have tried every option possible in OBS to reveal the other half and nothing.
-If I simply plugin the analgue console's HDMI into the elgato, OBS displays everything as it should.
-If I go from the upscaler and head towards my LCD monitor, everything is displayed proper.

So it must be something related with the Elgato not communicating well with the upscaler and OBS only displays half the capture?
I'm just wondering if there's a way for OBS to see the whole picture or, if the Elgato60HD S is having a hard time with the upscaler...
