Question / Help Unusual mic audio issue

When I stream or record in OBS it sounds like I am talking into a tunnel. I have the latest version, rebuilt by setup in OBS. Removed all extra mic's and killed 7.1 surround sound. Can someone please check the vid below and let me know if this has been heard/seen before.

Anyone able to help on this. Did a full reinstall. The recorded sound is fine until i add the video / game i want to capture that is when i get this echo/hollow sound. Because OBS wont see the game in the "game capture" option i am having to capture the window.

Any thoughts?
