Hi, just freshly downloaded OBS, not sure what I'm doing exactly, but have had a look around for solutions to this unspecified error thing. It happens every time I try to record. Also not sure how to submit a log, not very tech savvy sorry haha

Hmm. That seems odd. Try this: uninstall OBS Studio, restart your computer, make sure that the OBS Studio directory is actually gone/empty, then reinstall OBS Studio, and try to record.

No, that shouldn't matter. I also have OBS Studio installed on a drive other than C.

First, try to create a new Profile and a new Scene Collection in OBS Studio and try recording.

If that fails, try to download the OBS Studio 0.16.4 zip file. Extract it somewhere, and run it in Portable Mode.

If that fails... I seem to recall this issue coming up on another system with an Intel graphics adapter. The solution I saw there was to disable the Intel graphics adapter. Since you seem to be on a laptop, you can't really do that... Have you checked if there are any driver/firmware updates for your Intel graphics adapter or chipset? If there are updates, try installing those. If there aren't any, or there are and they don't help, can you try to force your computer to run OBS on the Nvidia card?

This pops up before I get the unspecified error, not sure if its anymore information. Thanks for the replay RytoEX, will try those suggestions now :)
