Question / Help "Unspecified error" when attempting to record in FLV using H265 (AMD card)

Sorry, complete noob. I've only ever used OBS Studio for some basic screen recording where I didn't care about the quality so much. It's fine with default settings.

I wanted to try recording with a higher bitrate, though, so I decided to go into the advanced recording settings and enable the H265/HVEC Encoder (AMD Advanced Media Framework). This crashes immediately every time with an "Unspecified error". I don't have this problem when I switch from FLV to MKV, but MKV is a little inconvenient for me, because when I use the remux tool in OBS Studio, it doesn't produce an MP4 file that I can easily import into my video editor (only the sound gets imported, but I can open the full video in VLC, so I know it works). That's a separate problem I wouldn't mind knowing how to solve, but it can wait for another day.

When I remux from FLV, however, the video is instantly importable. So ideally, I would use FLV.

Here's everything that gets logged from the point that I press the record hotkey (I've been testing it out with The Sims 4). Any help would be most appreciated!

Oh wait. I guess I lied about something in the title--the H264 encoder works. Apparently, I can edit the post title, so I just did that!

Anyway, I guess I can live with that. I'd still like to know what the issue is with H265, though, if somebody can venture a guess.

Also, does anybody have a clue as to why Hitfilm Express doesn't seem to know what to do with an MP4 file that has been remuxed from MKV?
