Question / Help Unable to select and display specific window w/ window capture

(Newbie) Just installed, fiddled for an hour. Am only interested in recording. When I select window capture as source, the entire display appears, framed in red, on OBS display window when OBS running. I have identified properly on the drop down the window I want (firefox), which is the only other open window besides OBS. It will record just fine, but it records the entire display; the audio I want is there, but I cannot see the Firefox window except as it peeks from behind as part of the entire display when I play back. I cannot select, either, with the cursor. The best way I can explain it is that it seems as if I've picked Display Capture when I've actually only picked Window Capture. All ideas appreciated.
