Unable to have two video capture devices

Just recently, I purchased a Video Capture card and I was excited to start streaming games from my switch to Twitch using OBS. Unfortunately, it is only allowing one video capture device to show in a scene, meaning I cannot have a webcam input showing while I have my switch game showing in the same scene. Is this normal, or is there something that I need to do first?
 
This definitely should not be the case.
Make sure your smaller VCD source is above the larger one on the Sources list. It's like a deck of cards, with stuff underneath being hidden behind non-transparent parts of the layers above. Otherwise, post a logfile from a test stream/recording session at least 30 seconds in length, and a screenshot of the full OBS window showing the problem in action.
 
I'm actually having the same issue here. I can't seem to get my capture card and my Webcam to work at the same time. Was there ever a fix?
 
are both the webcam and the capture card USB devices? if so, make sure they are not on the same USB root hub controller. (not connected to a single pair of usb ports. if this is a laptop and you have usb ports on both sides of the laptop, try separating them to opposite sides.)
