Question / Help unable to download OBS

Hi everyone
My 10yr old son asked me to download this software. Seems pretty useful for a range of things we might be doing in the coming months, so said no problems

I've been using computers for over 35 years, and can build/repair stuff without an issue.

However, when it comes to downloading the software, we are getting nowhere. Our ADSL 2+ connection is fine (speedtests are all good), just not getting barely even 1Mb of the 115Mb download before the connection drops out.

Used Firefox, Chrome wouldnt even get the 1Mb

Tried MS Edge and it got to about 20-30% before failing and simply wouldnt restart/resume (showing as downloading from github-cloud.s3.amazonaws.com) - 4 times now :(

Does anyone have another location this can be downloaded from ?? I'm in Australia

That download location is correct as the files are hosted by GitHub. As the downloads are working just fine here, I'd say just keep trying, or to call your ISP and see if they can help. Unfortunately, since GitHub is the host (and they already have multiple mirrors set up) there's no other download locations for it.

yeah, its really strange. Two more failed attempts. Very weird indeed... Ive downloaded various other application updates over the last few weeks without an issue

Ive never had a reason to call my ISP help desk in over 6 years, so might try that Monday morning. Seems weird Firefox and Chrome really struggled (extremely slow and timed out at approx 1Mb) at least Edge was saying about a 30min timeframe but stopped short too

Hah, plugged laptop into the house network instead of using Wifi... Full download in less than 2mins :D

Now to see what it can do - cheers
