Question / Help Unable to connect to Facebook rtmp

Hi everyone

I am trying to stream on facebook live with OBS 0.4.0 running in Mac OS 10.8.0

I get the rtmp URL and associated key from Facebook and set the data up in OBS settings, but I keep failing in connecting...

I am an absolute begginer, so I don't have a clue about what am I doing wrong

Any help would be appreciated

Facebook no longer allows non-secure (RTMP) streaming on its platform, and both the versions of MacOS and OBS you are using are too old to be updated to newer.

You may be able to get a newer version of OBS to run on MacOS 10.8, but I am not sure; the minimum system requirement has been 10.11 for some time and with the release of 24.x has been raised to 10.12. I am unsure what the minimum version that could run secure (RTMPS) streaming to Facebook, as this change was made only recently.

If your hardware can't be updated to MacOS 10.12 I am not sure there is a solution for you.
