Question / Help Unable to capture retro consoles with OBS Studio

I am not able to capture retro consoles or anything that uses RCA A/V cables with OBS Studio. The odd thing is that this works with the capture software that came with my capture card and XSplit. Here is my setup:

Console->Avermedia A/V to HDMI converter->Avermedia C925 Capture Card->TV

When I add the Avermedia as a source, I get either an Out of Range or No Signal error displayed. I played with some of the settings for the source but I can't get it capture. Any ideas?

Converter I'm using: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TQ43WI8/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

My experience with Avermedia (I have a live gamer portable) is limited, but to get it work I need to specify in the properties of the capture device in OBS the real resolution Avermedia is capturing... so if you have a very old console, I supose your resolution should be 320x240 or something like that (720x480 NTSC or 720x576 PAL)... but if you are converting your signal to hdmi, you'll need to specify the output resolution of your hdmi converter (If it works like mine, it don't change the output resolution, but is possible yours change the original RCA resolution to a closed list of possible resolutions)

EDIT: Your converter reports to support 480i and 576i... try to configure it to one of these if it is configurable, or try to specify in obs device resolution 720x480 (NTSC) or 720x576 (PAL)

That was easy! I set the resolution of the capture source in OBS to 640x480 and I can see things now.

It was an Avermedia C985, I made a mistake there.
