Hi! I've been toying with this problem for a few hours now, and tested a lot to get every scrap of info I could.
I thought my capture wasn't working entirely and tried all these "black screen fix" solutions but none seemed to fix the problem. Finally I came to realize that it isn't entirely a "black screen" problem. I can actually capture, but as soon as I tab out and switch scenes, when I switch back, it can't capture anymore and gives me a black screen UNTIL I TAB BACK INTO THE GAME IM CAPTURING (sorry for caps, I just wanna emphasize that). And until I do tab back into that game, literally all source captures are black screens. Every new "source" I try to make just doesn't show up.
So here is the process:
-Open game1
-Create scene and source for game1
-Tab into game1, play (wtv)
-Tab out of game1, create new scene and select the new scene
-Attempt to create new source for game2, but it's just black when selecting source
-Select scene running for game1, but it is now also black
1-Tab into game1, tab out of game1, capture is now working for game1
2-Select other scene for game2, capture is now black again
3-Select scene for game1, capture remains black
-Repeat steps 1-3
This is the point I'm at. It also flashes the red border when the screen is black, as if it's trying to capture, so I went into the logs and that's basically what it says.
I'll attach a log
I should also mention everything was running super smoothly and perfectly for a couple hours. I was streaming PUBG no problem. I opened League of Legends, streamed that no problem. But then I added a source for the league client (it's like a smaller window that has the interface until you actually begin a game, and I had only made a source capture for the game itself (separate window from client)) and once I added that source, it was streaming the client fine, and then I selected the original source for the main game for League that I previously created and the whole thing froze and now it's giving me these black screens.
The most common "black screen fix" that I found that I tried was running OBS in compatibility mode for windows 7 or 8, neither of which solved this problem. The other fix was to make sure it was using the proper graphics card, but although I may be wrong, I'm quite sure that is not the case because my integrated card actually blows and it would lag my whole computer if it was using it.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks
I'm running the latest OBS Studio 20.1.1 for Windows 10 64 bit
