When try record screen in 4k the output video file show only 3 fps and ultra bad quality, i use Ubuntu 22.04 LTS on Xorg session with amdgpu driver on a radeon rx 6800 xt, the disk of output is a m2. The settings for video capture is XSHM 3840x2160, limit to 60fps, mkv container over x264 coder, main profile, CBR frequency and standar type (without ffmpeg).

In 1080p works fine, 60fps and full resolution but in 4k the video output is very very poor. for 10 seconds use 3.5mb of file.

You quadruple the amount of pixels being processed and are puzzled why it may not work?

Check the log, it will probably tell you whether the encoder or the render pipeline is overloaded.

Also in the first video you set a bitrate of 2500 kbps. That is way too low for 1080, and for 4k that does not make any sense.

Where?

I change the kbps to 51000 and now the quality is better but fps has same results, no more of 3 fps.

Have tested OBS studio in the latest version of Linux Mint. Tested out many different proposals, including the ones you present here. My conclusion is clear. OBS with 4K does not work well in Linux.

You can see my hardware in the picture below:
