It would be helpful if the Streaming and Recording buttons would change color when they change state.

Maybe Red when you're streaming/recording and green or gray when you're not.

Yea, I'm aware of the need for improvements to the UI. We'll be adding some sort of indicator like that.

Two additional suggestions (that may well already be on the roadmap):

1: The ability to save and restore OBS configurations to a file would be very useful.

2: The ability to duplicate a scene. This would save lots of time when configuring several complex scenes where many of the elements are the same.

#1 is coming in the update after next (0.11.0), though after 0.10.0 that update should come out pretty fast.

#2 is something I forgot to put on my list, thanks for reminding.

An additional request:

I understand the need to obscure stream keys in order to enable making "How-To" instructional video, however.....

We're currently using OBS to feed the Edgecast CDN, (and Akamai's in the near future). We maintain more than a dozen Edgecast "publishing points". These are the destination points for content from our various offices. In the Custom Streaming Server set-up this information is contained in the Stream Key field.

It would be quite useful to have a checkbox on that page that would allow showing the stream key rather than the bullets in cases where that screen won't appear in video content and security is not an issue.

I just put in the feature to be able to make remove the password mask. That'll be in next verison.
