Question / Help Ugraded to 21.0.2 and now I'm getting "Failed to initialize video"

  • Debian 9 Buster, kernel 4.14.0-3
  • Raedon 5850
  • OpenGL version: 4.1 (Core Profile) Mesa 17.3.3
I know this is an old GPU. I upgraded various stuff last night, and afterwards OBS would not start streaming because of ... something? I don't remember, but I know that under settings I could no longer select the video codec/encoder. So I checked the website and found that 21.0.2 had been released. Upgraded OBS, and now it failed to initialize video.

Seems like a lot of posts get answered as GPU is too old. Am I in the same boat, or is there something I can try?
