Bug Report Ubuntu PPA: OBS 0.12 crashes on GUI interaction

Today I've installed version 0.12 from the PPA and now OBS crashes very often when I interact with the GUI. Sometimes when I'm in the settings and click on a drop down menu. Sometimes it's enough to click on the main menu. When OBS crashes I get a segfault in kernel.log:

OS: Linux Mint 17.2 Rafaela
CPU: AMD FX-8350
GPU: GeForce GTX 970 (355.11)
RAM: 16 GB

I've tried around and I found out that this only happens when I use Compiz as Window manager. OBS does not crash when I use Marco (Default of Mate Desktop) with or without compositing. It seems that you've broke something with the last update in combination with Compiz.
