Question / Help Ubuntu Mic Problem

I've just installed ubuntu xfce via crouton on my chromebook. I was able to install obs and it records video fine. I'm able to use the built-in mic for skype etc in chromium but nothing is getting into obs. I tried the audio settings app - it shows cras input green bars but not cras monitor (whatever that is). Any ideas for a solution?

You may want to try and install Pulse Audio Manager (sudo apt-get- install paman). I had a few issues with the mic not working, and some how it was not enabled. Also make sure to check device settings, and the Mixer settings to make sure you have the audio going where you think it should be (i.e. which channel).
