Question / Help Ubuntu 14.10 Unstable Installation

i don't see why not. just download the source and compile from git using the INSTALL file as instructions. i believe you'll still have to enable the jon severenson ppa for ffmpeg though. and if you do the portable install you can have both the stable version installed into your main system and the unstable version installed just in a home folder location. that's what i do
