Two USB video capture sources get swapped sometimes

Sometimes on system start our 2 video sources (Camera and iPad) are swapped in our scenes. When this happens we have to go to the Settings for each and remap them. We do have 2 identical USB 3.0 Video Capture devices. Is there anyway to avoid this to not cause our volunteers to 'panic'? Thanks.

as far as i am aware, Windows cannot differentiate between the two devices after a restart or if both get disconnected on accident. So when they both appear again to the OS, there is a chance that they get swapped or completely reset.

there is no real way around this beyond getting purely unique USB devices, no duplicates.
