Question / Help Twitch Stream quality comes out poor

Hi, I've been trying to sort out all the settings for my twitch stream, but for some reason when I open my own stream while i'm live, the quality appears to come out fairly poor.
i'm streaming at: 2500 bitrate, 30fps output, 1280x720p output resolution. I'm getting about 9mbps upload speed, and I have easily a good enough PC to run a decent quality stream.
There may be something fairly obvious i'm missing. I'm also capturing the game with window capture rather than game capture if that helps.

is there a reason why you are using window capture? game capture is most efficient of all methods if game runs in fullscreen with vsync
for settings tips jump in my signature

I'll try that, thank you. And sorry where should I go to have a look at the settings tips? Not particularly sure what i'm doing, might be easier to link me it haha

After some testing, I've noticed that it's specifically streaming the witcher 3 that comes out in noticeably worse quality than other games, any idea why this could be?
That´s normal. Some games have more complex video material than others. You will see this behaviour often in areas where is detailed grass, trees etc.
I don´t know the settings options of witcher 3, but what always helps is enabling a little bit of motion blur.
maybe a not so precise resizer(bilinear, bicubic) will do the work too.
Or you increase your bitrate of course.

1. use high encoder profile
2. set game options as in picture
3. use my calc to tweak bitrate properly, its too low now
4. try veryfast encoder preset, w3 needs cpu power, you will gain more quality from raising bitrate and high profile than from medium preset
5. dont mess with vsync in graphic card panel, leave it on default
6. if you record stuff, consider using quicksync ICQ=23, you need to enable it in bios and instal stable driver -4424 today
7. if your monitor is 60hz make sure desktop refresh is 60
8. dont use wireless, it can break stream badly, connect to modem with ethernet cable

Okay, i'll let you know that i've changed so far.
1. I'm not actually sure where to change this in OBS studio.
2. Done
3. I upped it to 3000, but wasn't sure how to properly calculate it.
4. Done
5. Fixed, if it's ingame settings you mean.
6. Not planning on recording but will keep that in mind.
7. 144hz at 144 refresh rate
8. I haven't done this yet, but do you think it could make a significant difference?

1 - more options in obs will be available if you switch to advanced output mode and you need to know them if you want use obs effectively
7 is the biggest problem, fastest and most reliable fix is to switch your desktop refresh to 60 for the sake of streaming if you really want to keep doing it
yes 8 is important, will cause trouble sooner or later
5 is your nvidia driver panel, if you didnt touch it after driver installation you can skip it
not much more I can do here, calc is easy to use, keep reading manuals and stuff on the net
