Hey there,

im trying to get a nice stream to twitch, but the stream pixels as hell :(

My PC looks like this:

CPU
Intel Xeon E3 1231 v3 @ 3.40GHz 32 °C
Haswell-WS 22nm Technology
RAM
16,0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz (9-9-9-24)
Graphics
4096MB ATI AMD Radeon R9 200 Series (Sapphire/PCPartner) 45 °C
Audio
ASUS Xonar Essence ST Audio Device

My internet speed is 200mbit down and 10mbit upstream, the best twitch-server is frankfurt.

So which settings should i use for a very good quality of a 1080p stream?

Unless you are a Partnered caster, you will not realistically be able to use enough bitrate to make 1080p look good without causing a significant portion of your potential viewerbase to go into buffering hell.

Non-partner: 720p@30fps, 2000kbps is the "golden point" for non-partners. Best tradeoff between res and fps while sticking with a bitrate low enough to help minimize buffering for a majority of viewers.

Partner: 1080p@30fps, 3500kbps.

In both cases, using x264 Veryfast at least (slower settings are better, but = more CPU usage), with no custom buffer or random x264 settings.

But yes, please post a log file from a live streaming session at least 5 minutes in length. There's a reason it asks for one when you open a thread in Q&H; we really do need it to check the back end and offer pertinent advice.
Also, a link to the VOD of the test stream is helpful as well (if you have archive broadcasts enabled), to see if the quality is as-expected (many new streamers expect a perfect 1:1 stream, which isn't going to happen due to the realities of video compression).

Looks fine from the log (though it appears you're using OBS-MP; this subforum is for OBS Classic support). Only change I'd make is dropping from 160kbps AAC audio to 128 or 96 (160 is a waste, when it comes to livestreaming).

Getting Partnered takes a lot of time and effort... essentially you need to have at least 300-400 concurrent viewers consistently for your entire stream duration, and stream regularly.

I moved you to the proper location.yeah, downscale to 1280x720 and you will be all set. that resolution will look much better at 2000 bitrate. use bilinear filtering.
