twitch category does not always update

when logged in twitch for streaming, and changing the stream category from the panel,
sometimes pressing the update only updates stream title, but reverts to the old category.
I wonder if this behaviour is OBS related or the twitch html page that is displayed on the panel.

also since recent update all the previously selected categories also appear on the drop down list.
even if the search string for the category does not contain anything in those previous selected categories.
