Twitch authentication not working.

Hi, I've been trying for the last 2 hours to fix an issue where OBS gave me an error authenticating my Twitch account. Per many people's suggestions in various forums, I tried disconnecting my account to then reconnect it as they claimed it fixed the issue. Now when I try to connect my account in OBS, it either doesn't load the authentication log-in page in the pop-up window or, when it does load the page, I can get as far as entering the authentication code sent to my phone and when I submit it, it gives me the same error I had when it first opened OBS today:

Failed to authenticate with Twitch:
Failed to get token from remote: Operation timed out after 5000 milliseconds with 0 out of 0 bytes received

I have checked that my Windows is up to date, OBS is up to date, I have restarted my PC twice, my internet connection is working without issue, I've reset my stream key and it still won't work, my Twitch account is logged in on the website and Twitch itself seems to be working without issue. I don't know why it's not letting me connect my account to OBS. I can manually put my stream key in and that allows me to go live but my panels won't load because my account isn't connected.

Greetings! I've been having the same issue, and it appeared right after updating OBS. Everything worked, including an authenticated session on the website in a browser, and the Internet connection was stable.

The solution was to explicitly de-authorize Twitch in OBS settings and authorize again. Then, even after OBS restart, the session was intact again ✨
