Ok, I've recently started using OBS and I'm no tech wizard from the underrealm so if anyone seeks to help then speak slowly and remember I am Techno-Dumb. Basically I'm trying to record and every time I do it does it for like a second but doesn't record audio and only records a microsecond of video before it stops. I'm using a Toshiba Laptop with a Logitech C270 HD webcam and a condenser microphone from NextAny SF-9208. Both are shown to be in and I've put them in the sources box so refer below with pictures of it. Basically if anyone can tell me how to calibrate it correctly is a star. I'm using OBS 0.13.2 32 bit. I've taken snap shots of pretty much the whole debatical so if anyone can help that would be great also anyone who can suggest a good format for my settings would be appreciated. Also is there any way to upload a movie maker creation would be good to know as I have no clue on technical matters. My internet is a public server so there's that and a reply would be awesome.
Usually, when you speak, or music playing on your PC. Bars under Mixer list (main window) 'dance' green color at current sound level. Move sound sliders to right to make sound louder.
Edit: If you planning to use external mic then you need to disable audio from 'Video Capture Device'. It may be done by clicking 'speaker' icon in OBS Studio Mixer list (main window), the icon turns red.
