Question / Help Trying to record multiple audio tracks

I'm trying to record with 2 audio tracks. The first is my microphone and the second is my desktop sound. I set it up following many tutorials and it should work but it just records the first track and the second one is completely missing.

How are you checking that the second one is completely missing?

I imported the video file to Adobe Premiere and had only one audio track

Did you check with VLC to make sure?

Yes, also just the sound of track one

And did you check in the right-click menu in vlc to double check this?

(all of this is ignoring the fact that saving directly to mp4 is NOT a smart thing to do)

To what should I save then?

MKV then, if your editing software can't use mkv afterwards, remux to mp4.

VLC has a track selection in the right-click menu during playback, double check in there.

Hm... I can choose the second track in VLC, but it doesn't show up in Premiere..

Then the problem is in premiere.
