I am a new user of OBS and have just installed the software on my Windows 10 PC. Straight of have problems when I try to start using the software to record. Refers me to error log but here I also seem to have problems. SO let's take it a step at a time. I have in the log the following :

15:42:31.305: ---------------------------------
15:42:31.309: [CoreAudio encoder]: CoreAudio AAC encoder not installed on the system or couldn't be loaded
15:42:31.311: Failed to load 'en-US' text for module: 'decklink-ouput-ui.dll'
15:42:31.381: [AMF] AMF Test failed due to one or more errors.
15:42:31.381: Failed to initialize module 'enc-amf.dll'
15:42:31.414: [obs-browser]: Version 2.7.11
15:42:31.421: NVENC supported
15:42:31.501: Couldn't find VLC installation, VLC video source disabled
15:42:31.523: No blackmagic support

I assume this means I have to download and install some additional software, but not sure what or where. Can anyone please help me.

These entries indicate no error, only the absence of some optional modules. Modules that are by no means required.

Thank you and my apologies for not having reponded earlier.. This is what I suspected. However, having set up the progam using auto-configuration wizard and selected Display Capture as my only source, I then atttmepted to save and got the error message:

Starting the output failed. Please check the log for details.
Note: If you are using the NVENC or AMD decoders, make sure your video drivers are up to date.

I have checked the latest log but can find nothing untoward. The log is printed below. Can you see what I am doing wrong?

NB The second line means nothing to me - I know I have an AMD motherboard but beyond that?????????? My video drivers are up-to-date as far as I know - as I have Windows 10 I understand this is done automatically.

Please ignore that last posting - sent too quickly.

I have found the log entry that is causing thre problem:

17:30:59.804: [NVENC encoder: 'simple_h264_recording'] Failed to open NVENC codec: Function not implemented

So the real question is what do i do now, please?

According to https://developer.nvidia.com/video-encode-decode-gpu-support-matrix , your GTX 750Ti is capable of nvenc. The log says it isn't, so make sure you really have the most current nvidia driver installed. For this GPU, it is this driver: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/151275/en-us

Your CPU is ancient and very weak. You will not be able to encode something useful with the x264 software encoder with a CPU this weak, so if you are not able to make nvenc work, you should probably get a more powerful PC before you try OBS Studio again.

Thank you for this. I am most surprised about the CPU - I thought I had a quite adequate one as I built the system myself. However, any additional thoughts you have about the power I need would be most welcome as I am considering updating my motherboard in the next few months. Meanwhile I will double check my GPU driver using your link and see if this works. If not, I will have to abandon OBS for the time being, but most grateful for all your help.

Thought you'd like to know did have out-dated drivers - for some reason I cannot see the updates had stopped. Now installed from your link and the only error message tells me I don't have enough space on my drive. Easy to sort that one so it looks as if I can now move on. Will probably still need more help but will start a new stream if necessary. Once again my thanks for all your help.
