Not sure if you got an answer, but given your Mac, if you have decent Internet pipes, you should be able to stream at least 1080p 30 fps or better.

Not sure if this describes you, but I found that using STUDIO MODE absolutely kills my render speed and hence my framerate. So I don't use preview mode...I setup my scenes in a linear fashion and toggle between them as my production progresses. An alternative is Multiview, which shows 8 or 24 of your scenes, plus your program window..and you can click on whatever scene you need to make it live.
