Question / Help Try to minimize the Blur

Good Evening,

normally I do stream Starcraft II, Dark Souls 3 and Overwatch which is not a problem.
I upgraded my PC now and tried to stream Warframe today (high motion game).

In that game I got terrible blur-effects which is really horrible to watch so I wanted to ask for some advice on here what I can improve on that part.

Video: https://www.twitch.tv/zyanbrain/v/83944139 (Example@ 06:10:00)

My Setup:
CPU: i7 6700k
GPU: GTX 1070
RAM: 16gb

My Settings on OBS:
Encoder: x264
CPU preset: faster
Profile: high
Bitrate: 2700
Downscaling to 720p and 60fps (Lanczos Filter)

Just want to find good settings where I can stream any game with. Hope we can get there :)

Thanks,
Brain

I forgot to mention: the upload is at 6mbit.

So I should go down to 30 fps with 2500kbit?

Isn't the fps only a thing which takes cpu power? or is it bitrate as well?

fps uses up more CPU as the processor needs to enocde more frames per second.

Bitrate does not affect the CPU usage

Okay, so I'm getting it right with saying it like that:

30fps or 60fps is only a thing which takes cpu power not upload/bitrate.
If the cpu can handle it, 60fps should be overall better then 30fps at the same bitrate?

Wrong.
60fps needs between 50% and 100% more bitrate to maintain picture quality vs 30fps in addition to 100% more cpu time.

Gotcha. So what would be your recommended settings Harold?
Going down to 30fps and how much bitrate so I can maintain a sharp picture with almost none to none blur at all?

720p30 at 2000kbit video. You're not going to be able to avoid blur if you get some at this level.

Also try using the slowest preset whilst making sure the stream is not stuttering. This should help reduce the blurring effect to an extent

Will try that. Are there any x264 options which I could try as well or any tweaks?
How about a slower cpu preset?

Also a short question: What's the CPU encoding profile for? Like what's the difference between "high" and "main"?

Perfect.
CPU Preset down to "fast", FPS down to 30 and the Bitrate down to 2500.
I'll try different settings with the Bitrate 2000 vs 2500 as well as checking how much lower I can get with the cpu preset.
Is there any game/way to do like a hardcore check on the cpu? (So if I want to play another game spontaneously I won't get problems with the cpu load)

Thanks for your tips :)

I tested it right now on ARK and I could go down to "medium" with around 90%. I guess medium will be my final choice for now.

What I experienced: Warframe is shit to stream ~_~ Way too fast for non-partnered people. But most people said 60fps3000bitrate with medium looks way smoother then 30fps2000/2500 bitrate.

Since I'll mostly play SC2 and Overwatch I guess I'll stick to 60fps for now..

It may look way smoother but the picture quality goes down the tubes, and you stick viewers in buffering hell by using over 2000 bitrate.

Is there really such a difference buffer-wise between 2000 and 2500?
And is it actually such a problem? I never had anyone having issues with 2500 the last few month unless they never told me :/

But you're right, I rather stick with 30fps and a better picture quality at 2500. I'll run a test between 2000/2500 later on again.
