Could use some help troubleshooting an issue with alerts for a stream. I'm a newb to OBS but not with computers in general. If anyone could help me solve this i would be most grateful for your assistance.

Can't seem to get visual alerts working in obs. Sound works from the alerts but the visuals don't.

Steps I used to get streamElements alerts working in obs.

1) I set up StreamElements alert using a Browser source in OBS. I copied to the given URL to the URL cell in the obs pop-up. And clicked the control audio via OBS box.
2) Moved the source overlay to the upper left corner of the stream.
3) Ran a test of an alert in StreamElements. The test shows up in Stream Elements but not in OBS. I can hear the alerts in obs using the audio monitoring properties in advance audio properties. So the URL is correct otherwise I couldn't hear the audio from the browser source. The visuals however don't show up.
4) Under Setting>General> Source Alignment snapping I have the enable box clicked and the snap sources to horizontal and vertical center box clicked.

I am a newb when it comes to OBS here are some hardware and software specs

windows 10 64 bit version 10.0.19042 build 19042
OBS version 27.1.3 64 bit
Hardware
MB B550 Aorus Master
AMD Rysen 9 5900x
32G of ram
GPU Rtx 3070

I can help.

1) Start obs
2) In the lower left you will see two medium sized cells or squares left of the audio mixer. One is scenes and between scenes and the audio mixer is sources.
3) at the bottom of the sources box you should see a plus, minus, cog, up arrow and down arrow. Press the plus sign this will add a source to your stream or video.
4) a pop up of possible different sources will be given and you should see a globe icon with the words browser. This allows you to add a browser source to your video/stream. press the browser option.
5) Fill out the cells in the browser pop up

Hope this helped.

Anyone have any trouble shooting tips for this issue? I can't seem to get them to work they are cut off or don't show up at all but the associated sound s for the alerts do work. I can't seem to solve this issue. I don't know why it is not working, obviously i am doing something wrong as alerts work for other people but every guide i have read or watch doesn't mention this issue and the examples I have seem seem to automatically resize the alert to fit in the assigned source "window" and the alert is aligned correctly. Mine all seem to not be aligned or don't show up at all on the visual front.

I could use any assistance you cane help with.

Cheers

I have done all of this including what OP has, and still no visual alerts just audio

So far myself and Levioarts have the same problem with visual alerts but getting audio. This shows that the actual browser source being accessed by OBS otherwise the audio wouldn't work either but OBS isn't displaying the visuals or the visuals are out of alignment so they don't show in the stream.

Does anyone know how to troubleshoot this issue?

Try them in a browser to see if they work there If you have the same issue there then it's at StreamElements end
This strikes me as a great idea but, I don't know how to do that. When I copy and past the url to a browser I just get a blank page. So i don't know if that is because I did it wrong or if there is an issue with the alert.
Could you elaborate on how I try them in a browser?

@Gothfather did you ever figure this out - I'm having the exact same issue as you are where I hear the sound, but not getting the visual - driving me a little crazy!

Any help with this? I am having the same issue too, audio and no visual for alerts in OBS. However, I tried it on another PC and it did work. I then tried copying the OBS file from the PC that alerts worked to my laptop that alerts didn't. Still nothing. Very disappointing.

I recently was setting OBS up again on a new device and ran into this problem. I had to change the Width and Height in the properties of the alerts browser source. They had to be: Width=1920, Height=1080. Not sure if that helps anyone, but it fixed the problem for me.
Best of luck to all!

Hello! I'm having problems with my stream alerts. When my alerts pop up, only the text shows up and the image doesn't show up. I made the width of the stream alerts 1920 and the height 1080 and I have also checked off the box "Shutdown source when not visible." And also, I made sure to place the alerts above any other sources in my OBS whenever I'm streaming. But the stream alert still won't show the image of the alert. Is there a way that I can have the alert show both the image and the text at the same time?

same problem with me. It was not working in the same way, disabling hardware acceleration for browser sources fixed the issue.

Settings --> Advanced --> Sources --> Uncheck - Enable Browser Source Hardware Acceleration
