Question / Help Trouble setting up multicam with Rode wireless mic...

Hello :)

I am extremely new to broadcasting and planning my first broadcast next week. I am obviously playing with everything getting set up and familiar with it all but I seem to be running into a couple of issues.

My set up is
a Sony A57 connected with a elgato CamLink as my overview shot
a Logitech Brio 4k webcam as my closeup tabletop view (I make tutorials)
Audio is a rode wireless GO with lav attachment
.. all of this goes into my PC via USB3
The first issue is my audio .. I have set a scene for each of the two camera and used Custom Audio Source for both. The Brio seems to work fine, great quality and the mic is awesome .. but when I switch to the Sony it will not use anything but the on board mic which sound horrid. Even when the Use custom audio source is selected and pointed at my Realtek port.

The second issue is still with the Sony camera. When I have done test recordings I am seeing all of the viewfinder display stuff which I can get around except the little squares all over the screen that I don't seem to be able to get rid of. I have attached a screenshot

... I have searched google, youtube and the forum for some answers but I am drawing a blank so if anyone can help me out I would sincerely appreciate it.

Thank you :)
Samantha

If you capture the camera output with a capture device, you capture everything the camera is displaying on that output. If the camera is displaying a HUD/menu, you see this in the captured video. To get rid of it, you need to tell the camera to switch off its HUD/menu. If this isn't possible, you might have acquired the wrong camera. It's not possible to filter that HUD after capturing. It's required that it isn't added to the video by the camera in the first place.
