Question / Help Trouble setting up a Twitch stream

So I am trying to start up a Twitch channel, and am having a bit of trouble figuring out what my optimal settings for OBS are. From most setting guides I have been reading, I believe I am setting my bit rate well below the maximum, but should still be sufficient for streaming.

The game in question is Team Fortress 2, and when streaming off of GeForce Experience, the stream doesn't stutter and everything is stable at 720p, however, when trying to imitate these settings Using OBS Studio, the stream constantly stutters when moving in any direction, and appears to drop down to very low fps. However Twitch reports no lost frames.

The GeForce settings are: 720p, Bit rate: 3.5mbps, 30fps

OBS Log File

This is the root of the issue

Output 'adv_stream': Number of skipped frames due to encoding lag: 3032 (65.7%)

EDIT: The Pentium G3258 is not recommended for streaming. Try using NVENC and see if it still happens.

While trying both Nvenc and QuickSync, both appear to work much better while in game menus, OBS Studio proceeded to freeze up shortly after being able to play in an actual game on both settings. It worked fine in menus until a game on a server loaded

Thank you for informing me about the anniversary update. After trying method 4, streaming works and looks much better with Nvenc encoding.
