Question / Help Trouble hooking game capture with RTSS enabled

Hi!

I'm using Afterburner 4.3.0 with the latest RivaTuner Statistics Server and I'm having issues hooking OBS with it enabled. I already set RTSS to ignore OBS but the issue persists. It's random though. Sometimes, if I restart the game, it correctly hooks.

Example of log messages:

01:39:55.435: [game-capture: 'Game: Hotkey'] using helper (compatibility hook)
01:39:55.436: [game-capture: 'Game: Hotkey'] hook not loaded yet, retrying..
01:39:58.451: [game-capture: 'Game: Hotkey'] attempting to hook process: Titanfall2.exe
01:39:59.533: [game-capture: 'Game: Hotkey'] capture stopped
01:40:02.467: [game-capture: 'Game: Hotkey'] attempting to hook process: Titanfall2.exe
01:40:02.483: [game-capture: 'Game: Hotkey'] capture stopped

...

Aren't they compatible?

Thanks

I use it to cap FPS but, if they can't work together I guess I'll have to look some other way to cap them.

Thanks!

I use RTSS for Overlay and fps limit, as well as ReShade injection for all of my games, the exception being Civilization V which refuses to play nice with RTSS (Does not display the overlay at all for me)

Try custom D3D support 'On' in RTSS for game profile, along with dedicated encoder service and 64-bit application support in General Options of RTSS.
For OBS enable capture third party overlays in the properties of your Game Capture Source for OBS. Sometimes it can take a few attempts to hook though should once the game is running.

What I tend to do is (Alt-Tab out of the game once I start it if it auto-switches to the game) keep OBS up with preview enable, once I see the preview screen with the game image I then turn disable the preview and Alt-Tab into the game. That way I know it hasn't failed to hook, So far successful for ever game I play.
