I have used OBS casually for a while and want to go from 3 to 4 cameras. I think there might be bandwidth issue on my powered USB hub, so I moved a camera I have used before to a new USB input straight into the computer. Camera 1 and camera 2 are unchanged. The new camera is going to be camera 3. Camera 4 is older and will go to a side task. I have cams 1 and 2 set up, go to add the new cam as 3 and everything is fine. I try to add camera 4 and it finds it in the dropdown, turns on the light that it has, but the preview window never shows anything.
If I press ok, it gives me a red dot instead of the window with the red snap dots at each corner. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, but before doing this if I click OK I would get the same single dot with now 4th view and then if I went to close it, OBS would say not responding. If I forced it closed, there would be a process that would hang in task manager until I restarted the computer. End Process would never actually end it. If I tried to open OBS again with this hanging process, typically the cams would never populate as I think the stuck process would be hogging them.
Looked on google a lot and can't find anything specific to this, so would love any suggestions. Thanks.
I clicked OK and everything happened as described. Here is the log file from that session.
