Tool to end recording automatically?

I have many old vcr and Sony Hi8 tapes that I am in middle of digitizing. My problem is that the tapes are all different lengths. Is there any tool in OBS to detect when the tape ends and automatically stop recording?

There is not, unfortunately. You could use the Timer in the Tools menu to auto-end recording after a set duration, then check how long it ran by playing it back and scrubbing through the timeline, and use something like ffmpeg to remux and trim the blank end off. This would be less-efficient, but you could always end the recording manually if you noticed one had already ended.

I use plugin Advanced Scene switcher which has various options which could also be used to end recording
You could combine Time with a Scene change that ties to end Recording. Or the new Audio level feature??
