Question / Help Tips for increasing quality (particularly the pixels and the encoder)

Hello! I'm new to streaming and I have noticed that my streams often look rather pixely (for lack of a better word) while I stream and I feel I have good enough hardware that it should look better. If those who are more experienced can help me optimize my settings in the most effective way that would be much appreciated!
My hardware:
GPU: GTX 1080
CPU: Intel i7 7700k
RAM: 16gb DDR4

Increase your bitrate. Assuming you are on a single PC streaming setup I would stick with x264 encoder on veryfast preset.
In my opinion, and from my experiences I can say that raising the bitrate has the most impact in quality. Twitch allows a bitrate of 6000. If you are affiliate or partner maximum is 8000. If your internet connection has this capacity - go with higher bitrate.
