Not sure if there are other ways, but it seems that on my MacBook Pro with 2x TB2 ports, I can not use both ports with BlackMagic devices (one Intensity Extreme, one MiniRecorder) at the same time, UNLESS ....
I do this nifty little trick, which worked quite well:
I had the Intensity Extreme (on my front TB port) send the captured video VIA this free tool:

And then accessed the Black Syphon stream in OBS Mac ("Game Capture"), plus accessed the other BM device (Mini Recorder) directly in OBS.
Also used the Replay with success.
Used the analog audio-in on the Intensity Extreme to get commentary sound in from my audio mixer. Strangely enough, it is achieved via "Audio Input Capture" and not via "Blackmagic Device". But hey, as long as it works ...
