Hey guys.
Trying to sort out a Paypal Tip Jar for a live stream on YouTube, but I can't seem to figure it out.
I've watched numerous youtube videos on the subject.
I've worked out how to put a tip jar from streamlabs on the bottom left hand corner of the live stream. Hit the test tip button and it works within OBS Studio.
But how does it actually work when someone wants to tip? Do you have to put the paypal link in the YT description box below?? Because clearly the actaul tip jar is not clickable during the livestream.
I also want to use my paypal.me address and not my email address as I don't want my personal email on the live stream. Streamlabs won't allow me to add my paypal.me URL in the settings (Legacy), only my paypal email.
So I did that (Connected Paypal email in streamlabs) and put the paypal email in the description box just to test. Did a test unlisted YT live stream. Logged in to watch on a separate YT account and donated $1 to myself (from a separate Paypal account), and nothing went in the jar.
I really have no clue what is going on.
If anyone cangive me some pointers, or link me to some YT clips that actually show how the streamlabs tip jar works rather than just showing how to put it on the page, I would truly appreciate it.
