Greetings,
I recently figure out how to do fade cuts in my videos with the OBS software using the Advanced Scene Switcher plugin to switch to a blank scene with a transition and then pausing video recording...then reversing the procedure when something interesting is happening. I did this because the videos I make require very little actual editing, and I was mostly using my editing software to put my channel logo and a few overlays, which basically doubled my production time just to add two or three things. Now I can just record my videos and go direct to upload because the output is already a finished product.
Having said that, I thought it would be cool to have the option to include timelapses in my video for situations where maybe I'm travelling from one place to another and I want to show the journey without it being long and tedious. Is there a plugin that will simulate the timelapse you'd normally get in a video editing software? Something that skips over frames but still places them in the output file in a way that speeds up time at those points in the recording? I understand that there are ways to mess with the framerate in the software to achieve this, but that appears to be for the entire session rather than a specific scene, and I'm hoping there's a way to do it on the fly so I can switch back and forth from normal time to timelapse.
Thanks!
