I finished my recording job with OBS, but I spent more than 3 hours looking for settings, ways to get things done etc. OBS is great piece of software, no question about it. But... to be best world screen recording software misses a couple of really important points.
1. When user opens OBS for the very first time it must be SIMPLE. I just wanted to record my screen, nothing more and nothing less. First time user is not interested in scenes, windows, images, backgrounds, layers etc, etc... Screen recording software must do EASILY main purpose, just to RECORD SCREEN. Sorry, I'm developer for 20 years, and I didn't made OBS to simple record my screen (with ONE BIG RED BUTTON), ie. ALL windows that I used when presenting my application. No guys, I have to manually add all windows in my application to OBS scene and turn off and on visibility during presentation. Because of deadline I did not have couple of hours more to study forum posts and help pages.
2. Think simple and make it work simple and quick for 90% of users, who will use 10% of functionalities. Other 90% of functionalities is for advanced users. Anyone who need some advance actions, will simply search and find them.
