There is no indication that OBS Multiplatform is recording or streaming in Windows 10

I'm hoping that this can be fixed in the future with an update or a plugin. Right now when pressing either button to start streaming or recording, there is no indication that OBS has started doing either. It hasn't become a problem for myself yet, but I'm hoping by bringing attention to it, I can at least help prevent any accidental streaming.

A simple solution to this problem is to just have the entire button change color when streaming/recording (red, preferably), then change back to grey when OBS has stopped either or.

I think that's all that would be needed, however another addition that would help is to have a quick sound play as OBS begins to stream/record. If a sound is added, I would suggest having an option in the settings to turn this sound off if needed.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

The indication is that it says "Stop streaming" instead of "Start streaming"

Okay apparently I need to be more careful with the wording of my titles. Yes, I did notice the text changes, and yes, the timer starts counting up, but neither of those things are very noticeable at a glance, especially when your concentrating on other tasks.

I'm proposing to make it more noticeable that recording/streaming has started by changing the color of the button to red, and a short sound to go off, when OBS has started doing either of those things.

Agree with that. Will be better have a better notification about streaming / recording and Mic/speaker muted

I agree that the main app window needs a big, fat, red notification that the app is recording. Please make the recording button turn red while recording or make the window have a thick, red outline, or something. Thanks.
