Question / Help The Start Streaming and Start Recording buttons aren't working.

This is something new...

17:32:29.280: error: Failed to create nvenc instance: invalid version (15)

Revert to Settings>Advanced>Renderer: Direct3D 11 instead of OpenGL and then try to re-select your encoder (or choose x264, see what happens).

That log doesn't indicate that Direct3D was enabled. Try selecting Direct3D 11 as your renderer, then click OK, and then restart OBS Studio before trying to record.

What graphics card do you have? What driver version are you running?

What Nvidia driver version are you using?

Good. Direct3D 11 is now properly selected as the renderer for OBS Studio.

Now, try selecting x264 as your encoder, then click OK, and then restart OBS Studio. Then, re-select NVENC as your encoder, then click OK, and then restart OBS Studio again. Then try to record, and upload the current log file from that session if you have problems.
