The sound breaks when the microphone is turned on.

I log into obs - everything is fine, but as soon as I turn on any microphone and it is in the list of sources or in the sound mixer, the sound stops in the browser! I turn on the video and there's either silence or a lot of quiet noise. I tried changing the microphone, changing the audio bitrate, and mixing everything together - it didn't help. Please help me!

Yeow! That's bad!

Unfortunately, I don't know. Normally, I'd blame bluetooth for this sort of behavior, because it does degrade the speakers when anything uses the mic. But if that's what was happening here, then you couldn't capture it like this. If it were a bluetooth problem, then the capture would still be perfect, and it's clearly not! And it wouldn't be *that* bad either.

Hopefully someone else has an idea, because I don't. Sorry!
