Question / Help The Ryzen 3700x in a dedicated rig

Hi everyone,
Looking for some info from any users of the 3700x that use it in a dedicated streaming PC with OBS. I did look around for information online before posting here but couldn't find what i needed. Currently i have a z390 meg ace with an 8700k, so my only upgrade option is 9900k.
I was then going to use the 8700k in a 2nd rig for streaming ect but having looked a bit closer at things i think it would be wiser to buy a 3700x plus motherboard for less than the price of the 9900k and keep my 8700k in my gaming rig. Information i need is how well the 3700x could handle 900p streams with camera, alerts n extra stuff that tax the CPU while using a medium preset. I'm torn between maybe waiting longer and getting a 3900x that i guess would do that really easily or buy the 3700x now. Is the 3700x a good choice for a dedicated rig ?

Unless there's a specific use case scenario that requires a streaming rig, you're better off spending that money on an NVIDIA card with the Turing encoder, as the quality it is able to output is roughly between x264 fast and medium, with minimal performance hit.

The 3700x would be able to handle it though.

I don't want the input lag most of all, Also higher framerate so second rig is what im chasing, I also don't want a turing card, over priced imo and my 1080ti is just fine it's still a great card. i know i will need a gpu though for a ryzen system which is no big deal.

Then you'll be served well with that CPU, just make sure you update your BIOS since a lot of issues have been fixed since launch.
