Question / Help The Name is Already in Use - In Another Scene

Michael Waters

Hello all,

I am using OBS Studio 0.13.4 on Windows 7 (64-Bit OS, 32-Bit OBS Version) and am getting this error (or at least what I think is an error). I have two scenes, both of which have an overlay. I want to call the overlay image "Overlay" in both scenes, but it says that the name is already in use whenever I try to add the image in the second scene. This is a minor problem for just the overlays, but the scenes will have other similar things (like player cams and names) that I would like to name the same thing.

I understand that this is probably low priority on the list of things to fix, but wanted to ask because there might already be a fix that I am unaware of. I included my current log file just in case, although I doubt it will be needed.

Thank you for your time,
Mike

that because you can use the same Source again in other Scenes. Just use the exsisting Image you allready use and alter the Size on it there. If you wanna use that Pic croped from the first scenes you need to name it different.

Wow, I am so sorry I didn't even see the "Add Existing" in Add to Scene Dialog. I'm sorry to have wasted everyone's time with that silly question. I guess I'll mess around in OBS more before I ask more questions.

Thank you for your help,
Mike
