Hey,
all my logs from my hours long testing today are included in the .rar that is attached in this thread.
I was able to easily record The Division very fluently on simple settings with the AMD Encoder in 1080p @ 60 FPS on dx 11.
The game's performance has improved drastically with the latest dx 12 patch (~ +15% FPS) and I wanted to record gameplay for another video.
The thing is that every single video I recorded feels like it was recorded with a low framerate. This does not change if I lower the requirements (e.g. from 60 to 30 fps, from 1080p to 720p), change the encoder (from AMDto normal x264) or change presets etc. the recorded video file has a very poor FPS ratio and does not play anywhere smooth framerates at all.
I have already googled the "[AMF Encoder] Submission queue size is growing." issue and it is generally recommended to lower the settings as this should indicate a GPU that is unable to handle the required bitrate and settings in general if I understood that correctly. Thing is that with the same settings my recordings are fine under dx 11.
Also, the game's performance is excellent no matter which settings, encoder, processor priority etc. I use. It runs insanely well now and does not get any noticeable FPS hit at all by recording so that says to me, that my components are not at max capacity as I would get stuttering, low fps in-game too, which is not the case.
I've tried a whole bunch of different settings (as you can see in the bunch of log files) and NOTHING helps this issue. Most of my videos do not have the targeted frame rate in their file details but mostly get 48 fps instead of 60 there. But even if they DO hit the consistent 60 or 30 (I was able to achieve that with some settings) they still look low fps the whole way through.
Again: Everything was totally fine when I used dx 11, under dx 12 this game is not recordable in a smooth way for me what so ever.
Rig: R 290 a little bit oced but that does not matter, intel xeon 1245v3, 16gb ram, latest non-relive driver.
Edit: Fixed a typo and wanted to share, that most of these log files were made when using the 32bit version, just tried the 64bit and did not improve on anything.
Edit 2: This is an example log, where everything seems normal (no submissions), the video file hits 30 fps at the file details but it still feels subpar on the smoothness and generally feels a lot lower fps.
Edit 3: This issue is only happening in game capture mode for me. So, I record in screen capture mode it is totally fine and I have no issues even in 1080p @ 60 fps. I still hope, that the game capture will work smoothly again.
